XIOS simulator for nuclear power plant operators
- Customer’s needs
-
Complete replacement of the outdated nuclear power plant simulation system DIGILINK from S3 Technologies.
- Our solution
- The input-output system, running on X9200 microcomputer based on AT91RM9200 Atmel processor with Linux OS and Ethernet and RS-485/422 interfaces
- Management of the distributed system is implemented via TCP/IP
- A basic set of peripheral I/O’s was created: DI32 – digital input unit (32 channels), DO32/LO32 – digital/lamp output unit (32 channels), AI16 – analog input unit (16 channels), AO16 – analog output unit (16 channels)
- All peripheral units are controlled via RS-485/422 interface using a single protocol. This solution makes it possible to integrate new types of units without the need of modifying the hardware I/O system.
